 Hello – This may seem like a surprising way for me to be starting this letter to you, but I have known from about 16 years of age that I would never be a birth mom. I have been serene with this knowledge, because I have always known that God has a plan to put children in my life. You may be part of this plan. My husband and I provided foster care for children, and in doing so found our desire to be parents. We want the permanency of love and attachment, and to experience the growth of a child. Our dream is to see our child grow up into a strong, confident person. I can picture myself filled with pride, yet tears, as this young adult I have loved and nourished leaves us for college to begin their own journey.  Rob and I have been married for 3 1/2 years. We have 2 Labrador dogs and they love children as much as we do! Rob and I believe that laughter and humor are essential parts in the development of a happy, confident child.  Our home is located in a town that still holds the small town feeling. We live on a 1½ acres, and have a huge fenced in back yard. The best part of where we live is not only our wonderful neighbors, but also the safety of a cul-de-sac. Our home offers plenty of space inside and out to play and let children’s minds be creative and explore the world around them.
I truly can’t imagine what your experience as a birth mom has been. I can only tell you that my heart goes out to you, and I thank you for your incredible decision to give life to a child. Please know that Rob and I will provide the very best loving, safe home possible. I wish for you peace, comfort and love during this time. God’s love is with you! Karla |
